The Canadian Tulip Festival celebrates the return of spring, with over a million displays of tulips planted throughout our city. Capture spectacular views of the tulips and discover their colourful beauty along with other hidden gems and the history of the city with this delightful Ottawa bike tour!
Rideau Canal, War Memorial, Love Lock Bridge, Landsdowne Park, The Glebe, Dow’s Lake, Little Italy, Ottawa River, War Museum.
Your guided tour lasts about 3 hours in total and includes 4-6 stops at various tulip sites and Ottawa’s attractions to enjoy and learn about tulips and also Ottawa’ history.
Enjoy a leisurely bike ride alongside the historic Rideau Canal and beautiful Arboretum. Once you arrive at Dow’s Lake, you can leave the bikes with your guide and walk through the colourful tulip site. There will be a 30-40 minute stop to enjoy the tulips and learn about the history of the festival from your guide. The tour continues with a leisurely ride and stops along the Ottawa River pathway and seeing more tulip beds, before heading back to the start point. You will visit the Rideau Canal, Lansdowne Park, the Arboretum, Little Italy, Rideau Canal Locks and War Museum.
