I grew up in a small village in the north of Iran, near the Caspian Sea. My greatest joy was riding my bicycle every day after school with my best friend, Eli, balanced on my handlebars.

Grant grew up near Tobermory, Ontario – an outdoor playground that sparked a love for adventure. He began racing mountain bikes at just 14 and went on to serve as a park ranger and firefighter before finding his home with Escape Tours & Rentals.

Sam was raised in Alaska but proudly calls Canada home. With a knack for mechanics and a passion for two wheels, he’s been building, repairing, and working his magic on bikes for nearly five years—three of those with Escape Tours & Rentals.

Mike Robinson loves to commute by bicycle along the beautiful Ottawa River from his home in Westboro Village. He moved to Ottawa with his wife Sheilagh after retiring from a 30 year career as a Physical Education and Guidance Teacher in Woodstock Ontario.

Pedaling since the age of 5, David has seen cycling in Ottawa go from a little bit crazy in the 1970s to insanely fun today. As a city councillor, from 2010-18, he was a key player in some challenging decisions that brought more cycling infrastructure to Ottawa.

Alison worked for the Canadian government for 21 years and now is enjoying the flexibility of working a reduced schedule which gives her time to take our guests to tour the lovely pathways of Ottawa. Her favourite view is the parliament from the Voyageur pathway.

Cycling is his #1 passion. The history of Ottawa comes next. So when Denis decided to retire from his finance job in 2019, becoming a tour guide on bicycle was a no brainer. He is passionate about the job and wants to share his passions with you.
