Nora Balogh

Nora has lived in Ottawa for more than 35 years and has always had a keen interest in her city, its history and happenings.  Recently retired from the Federal Public Service, where she held Director and Chief positions, Nora enjoys leading groups and is genuinely interested in people.  She was delighted to discover a new way of sharing her enthusiasm and her excellent knowledge of Ottawa with a willing audience as a bicycle tour guide.

Nora is also an avid traveler herself, and believes that cruising on a bike is the greatest way to experience a new culture, slow down and see more.  She often takes the opportunity to go on bike tours herself when she travels.  She speaks several languages and offers tours in English, French, Spanish and German.

Nora was a bicycle commuter for many years, and today enjoys using her bike to get around town in an environmentally- and fitness-friendly way.

What better job could you have in retirement she asks, than showcasing Ottawa on two wheels, providing local expertise and bringing your city to life for visitors!
