Mike Robinson loves his commute by bicycle along the beautiful Ottawa River from his home in Westboro Village. He moved to Ottawa with his wife Sheilagh after retiring from a 30 year career as a Physical Education and Guidance Teacher in Woodstock Ontario. He added bicycling activities to the Physical Education classes he taught to hundreds of students over the years.
Mike has always enjoyed cycling and tinkering with bikes. He has gained cycling experience through his competition in over 50 triathlons. Now he seeks out bicycle touring adventures and in recent years has toured Italy, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and Hong Kong by bicycle.
Mike chose Ottawa as his current home to be closer to family and for the natural beauty and abundance of bike paths and outdoor activities. Mike was introduced to the Ottawa/Gatineau region as a Western University student and spent time here with the Western Mustangs nordic ski team. He has loved the area ever since.
