Kids’ Bike Rental Ottawa (6-12 years old)

“It all started 4 hours before we even stepped in the rental shop. 4 adults, 3 pre-teens and a 2 years old wanting to go on a bicycle trip around Ottawa. What could go wrong? Exactly! So I sent a google hangout text message to the business asking if bikes are available for all of us and to my surprise, I received an answer almost immediately. A couple of back and forth, and our bikes were reserved including a baby trailer. 0 headache or overly complicated pre-rental! We arrived around 2PM and the shop was packed. The lady in the shop was alone but still managed to set up our chaotic big group relatively quickly (imagine 3 pre teens and a 2 years old running around a small shop trying to jump on the bikes!). Bonus points for never losing patience with the kids changing bikes 20 times. After some guidance of where to go, she sent us on our merry way. Most of us never biked for an extended time but the next 3.5 hours went amazingly well. Ottawa and canal Rideau are such a beautiful place to bike along. We should have brought our picnic! A couple of spots were a bit confusing to cycle around due to construction but the lady at the shop did warn us and told us what to expect. Returning the bikes went smoothly and she even made sure we got to best “rate”. All in all, a great activity via a recommended rental shop.”

They were quick to respond to our inquiries, collecting and returning the rentals was easy, and the tips they provided on sights to see were welcomed. We just returned our tandem bicycles after a 3-day rental and we were sad to let them go. With our 9 and 11 year olds in tow, we were able to visit so many sights in and around Ottawa & Quebec at our own pace. The locks provided were useful to store our bikes at our hotel and we will definitely rent again on our next trip to Ottawa.
